Paid Ref positions are available! Refereeing is a great job for those older kids who love to be outside during the summer, are looking to build a resume, and make some extra money while having fun.
- Who can ref? Anyone who is at least 12 by March 31, 2026. Younger refs not yet 12 can also contact us for more information if they are interested in joining our Junior ref squad!
- How do you sign up? A simple course is required.
- Why take the course? Learn more about soccer, make some money, and learn leadership skills.
- Where to go to take the course? The first part is online at www.refcenter.com/ontario After you complete the online portion then you will register for the in person portion. When you referee for Markdale Minor Soccer after the 1st season we give you half of your registration fee back and then after you finish the 2nd season we give you the 2nd half of your registration.
- You do not need to be a soccer player to referee.
